Helping people to help themselves starts with asking better questions.
Wayli exists to help people build enough understanding to question an answer, explore what could change and remain in control of an important personal decision. We also use Wayli to experiment with how AI can help people and small businesses ask better questions, understand evidence and make better use of AI.
THE PROBLEM
Important questions need more than an answer.
Calculators can produce figures without explaining what they mean. Open-ended AI can respond confidently without having all the facts, assumptions or definitions it needs.
Important decisions need both reliable structure and understandable context. Wayli exists to help make that starting point clearer, without pretending that every question has one simple answer.
THE FIRST QUESTIONS
It started at home.
Wayli's founder Nick B began developing the project from family conversations rather than a business plan.
- Should my daughter overpay her student loan?
- Should my son choose one mortgage option over another?
- Can I afford to retire?
Those questions looked simple, but depended on assumptions, timing and trade-offs.
Give AI the wrong context and it may produce a confident answer from a faulty starting point.
Building a better starting point became the basis of Wayli's first engines.
