One Hundred Isn't Enough
One hundred businesses gave us our first evidence. It also reminded us how much we still have to learn.
One Hundred Isn't Enough
Every investigation reaches a point where the next question becomes more interesting than the last answer.
That's where we are now.
Phase One
Testing one hundred organisations gave us confidence that the Wayli Understanding Engine could consistently assess a wide variety of public websites.
It also revealed recurring patterns.
Some matched our expectations.
Others challenged them.
Perhaps most importantly...
...it showed us that AI Readiness is less about finding one missing piece and more about understanding how lots of small pieces of evidence work together.
One Hundred Is Only The Beginning
One hundred organisations cannot represent every business.
Different industries communicate differently.
Different organisations tell different stories.
Different websites present different challenges.
If we're serious about learning...
...the benchmark has to grow.
The Next Investigation
Our next goal is simple.
Assess one thousand organisations.
Not because larger numbers sound more impressive.
Because stronger evidence leads to stronger understanding.
Some of the observations we've shared may become stronger.
Others may disappear altogether.
That's exactly how we hope this investigation works.
We'd rather replace today's assumptions with tomorrow's evidence than defend ideas that turn out to be wrong.
Looking Back
This series wasn't originally planned.
It began with a simple question.
Could AI understand Wayli?
If not...
Why not?
And what could we do about it?
Answering those questions changed our own website.
Then it changed AI Readiness.
Along the way, it also changed how we think about understanding itself.
That wasn't something we expected.
Where We Go From Here
If you've read every chapter...
Thank you.
You're one of the first people to follow this investigation from the beginning.
The benchmark will continue to grow.
The evidence will continue to evolve.
We'll continue publishing what we learn.
Especially when it proves us wrong.
Because that's how understanding improves.
This series may be complete.
The investigation isn't.
In many ways...
...it's only just beginning.
Wayli itself started with a father trying to answer a question for his daughter.
That single question eventually became a platform.
(For a brief moment it was almost called Dad Mode. Thankfully, common sense prevailed.)
If you'd like to see where everything began...
